AI and your privacy
What happens when you ask the hub.
Last reviewed August 2026
Ask the hub is a guide to published Wellbeing Hub information. It is designed to answer routine questions directly and show the source material behind the answer.
It is not a crisis, medical, clinical or legal service, and it does not decide how a concern should be handled.
How an answer is generated
Your question is sent to the site's AI service together with relevant excerpts from published hub pages and approved knowledge documents. Published hub sources can appear as source cards. Background documents approved in the AI Bucket may inform an answer, but are not exposed as public downloads or citations.
The AI request is configured through Vercel AI Gateway with zero-data-retention and prompt-training protections. The Wellbeing Hub does not intentionally store the question or response as a chat record.
What is processed
The service processes the recent messages needed to answer the current conversation, the relevant source excerpts and limited technical metadata needed to operate and protect the endpoint.
A short-lived rate limit uses network information in server memory to reduce abuse. It is not used to build a profile or personalise content.
What the assistant can access
It searches published, open-access hub content and documents specifically approved for the assistant. It cannot read concern submissions, unpublished working material, private administration records or an account profile about you.
Sensitive questions
Avoid entering names or unnecessary identifying detail into the assistant. If you need to tell the organisation about a serious matter, use the dedicated concern pathway. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 111; for free, confidential support, call or text 1737.
